'Disconnected'
Scene 1
At the beginning of the music video it starts off with Jazz Morley (the singer) playing the piano quite happily it then fades to black.
Scene 2
Its fades to the whole family saying good bye to the brother as he prepares to join the army this will be a medium shot so it will show everyone in the scene.
Scene 3
Medium shot of the brother fighting in afghanistan, he should look sad and depressed. It then cuts back to Jazz playing the piano.
Scene 4
A slow dramatic zoom towards Jazz playing the piano, this camera will obviously be on a dolly and track system to make the shot seem much more smooth.
Scene 5
Wide shot of the brother walking slowly towards the camera with explosions going off behind him and people dying , although this seems too graphic it will be important to show the realism of what warfare is really like, it will also focus on a tear that will drop to the ground, this will act as the transition for the next scene.
Scene 6
Medium shot of the Jazz kneeling crying at the grave as the song ends.

Task 2: visualisation
If i was asked to direct this music video i wold make it half performance and half story based. The story would be her brother (In which the song is about) going off to afghanistan, he would be saying goodbye to his family and friends, it would then cut to Jazz playing her piano. Throughout the video it would constantly cut between the two people showing there feelings and looking sad. Towards the end of the song it will have her brother walking towards the camera in slow motion with explosions and debris getting blown around him. This shot is very similar to the end of monty python ww2 episode, where the soldiers walk to there death.

Assignment2: Task 1 initial listen
My first listen of this song was that it was really calm but it isn't what i usually listen to, It is played on a piano and is very soft, it is quite a sad song and you can tell this by the lyrics and the tempo. It is similar to many other songs for example 'angel' by Sarah Mclachlan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1GmxMTwUgs
This song is about her brother going to afghanistan to fight the war, you can tell she is deeply upset by it by the way the song is really calm to show her emotions, i would describe this genre as acoustic.

Evaluation
In my opinion i believe that i did reasonably well in my presentation i think this because as a group we all worked well together, we all had an equal amount of slides to present and i feel as if we succeeded at giving the audience sufficient information. If i had to do this presentation again i would go into more detail about how the director created the mood for the scene we did, also we needed to say how the sounds where created but unfortunately we left that out in our presentation. Without the glossary we couldn't define our key terms, we did this alright but i feel as if we should have gone into more detail about the glossary. I learnt the key terms and how much sound is put in just a five minute clip, and how much it sets the mood in any scene, it also brings the audience into the scene more.
